This series began with a journey through the Sierra Chihuahuense, traveling by train and road and watching the landscape, light, and color reveal themselves slowly. The rhythm of movement, the curves of the road, the rain, and the pauses along the way gradually transformed how I looked.

As the days passed, the landscape became less about a specific place and more about an internal experience. The paintings emerged from this shift—from observation toward memory, movement toward stillness, and landscape toward a sense of shelter and belonging.

To Stay a Little Longer is not a record of a journey, but an attempt to hold a state of attention and presence: that moment when we stop passing through a place and begin, even briefly, to inhabit it.
