Under the Ultramarine Sky

Camino Al Arte Community Impact Residency Project

Atotonilco, Guanajuato

21 AUG 2026

This new series emerged during my time at Camino al Arte, where I spent five weeks exploring migration through a community-based residency.

As I worked, my attention kept returning to the landscape—the crooked mesquite trees, the vast ultramarine sky, the ways things take root, move, disappear, and reemerge.

These paintings bring together migration and nature, memory and place. Elements from earlier work have migrated into this new landscape, shifting form and taking on new meaning along the way.
